Raphael – Grow a Garden and Unlock the Friendship Shop
Raphael is an NPC found in the main world. He allows players to purchase Pet Eggs using Sheckles or Robux, and also provides Pet Info. Feeding him food unlocks access to the Friendship Shop, where special items and gear can be obtained.
Raphael was added in the Pet Update on April 3rd, 2025.
Appearance
Raphael resembles an old farmer. He wears a straw hat, has a wheat stalk in his mouth, and sports a white beard. His outfit includes a torn gray shirt with black suspenders, giving him a rustic, hardworking look.
In the world of Grow a Garden, Raphael is more than just a friendly farmer—he’s the key to raising and trading your magical companions. Whether you visit him to buy gag pets, hatch rare eggs, or build trust through the Friendship Shop, Raphael reminds every player that patience and care are the roots of every great garden.
Function
Raphael’s main purpose is to allow players to:
- Purchase Pet Eggs and related gear.
- View the current stock through the Egg Shop GUI.
- Sell pets back to him for Sheckles.
- Unlock Friendship Shop tiers by feeding him food items.

Trivia
- Before July 12th, 2025, Raphael did not have a stock GUI and sold only three random eggs beside him.
- Despite saying, “I am the pets salesman!”, he only sells eggs and pet-related gear.
- Originally, Raphael was a quest giver before the 1.04.0 Pet Update.
- Added during Part 2 of the Fairy Event, Raphael’s Friendship Shop functions similarly to Sam’s, requiring players to feed him to unlock higher tiers.
- Upon reaching Friendship Level 2, Raphael gives players a Pet Incubator cosmetic, but his Tier 2 Shop only unlocks at Friendship Level 3.
- The Bug Egg remains the final egg in his shop, even though the Jungle Egg is rarer.
- Raphael’s birthday is on October 28th at 4:00 PM EST in real time, corresponding to October 30th in in-game time.
